How To Clean Vintage Leather Suitcase?
When you wish to clean a vintage leather suitcase, you should try using a little bleach scouring powder. Put just a little bit of this scouring powder into a small bowl, take slightly dampened scrubbing pad and dip it into this powder. Scrub the scuffed area sparingly. Make light circular motions over smaller areas at one time.
To protect the new clean look, one of the best ways is to use some sort of wax, such as Turtle wax. This will protect the leather surface from the outside world.
If you need to mend your vintage suitcase or part of it, you might consider Mighty Mendit to simplify the process as much as possible.

ARE YOU NUTS?? Bleach & scouring powder on a great old leather suitcase or purse??? REALLY??
How about gently wiping the piece down with a nearly dry dampened cloth, then pat dry with an absorbent towel as a first step to get the surface dirt off. Next find a good commercial leather cleaner or saddle soap and apply according to the directions, working on a small portion at a time, overlapping each section as you clean. Depending on the surface, finish a tanned skin with protective LEATHER polish and leave a matte finished surface alone to age on its own. Good luck!
Hello C. Larbrita, this harsh method would suit rather really dirty suitcases looking not so great just because they are so dirty… If some precious antics look too fragile common sense should dictate us to avoid bleach. Thank you very much for sharing your point of view and your advice.
