My friend recently got me this vintage suitcase and it’s adorable, but the smell inside makes me want to vomit. I sprayed febreze in it, sprayed lysol at another time, and now I just threw in some fabric softeners. The fabric softeners covered up the smell for a while, but I can still smell that strange odor underneath it all.
Any suggestions as how I could get the smell out and not just cover it up??

My Pre-existing bought-em-at-kohls-on-the-cheap suitcases are Dark Purple… so my first thought is OK Go With The Purple Trimmed Spinner in the ink below (click on the different colors to see what I mean)

But I REALLY like the red. And the other cases in the line all come in that color, whereas you can’t really get any of the smaller coordinating bags in the purple. Just red black or khaki,.
So indulge my trite question and give me your input.
